I am delighted to invite you to take part in a very special course – Flutes at the Barns in Sri Lanka 2010!  This course provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in a flute course in an exotic location in the Indian Ocean; the course also includes tours of Sri Lanka’s most famous sights, sounds and experiences, such as visits to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the elephant orphanage of Pinawela.  The course is open to a maximum of seven flute players – applications are welcome from adults aged eighteen and over, regardless of ability level (partners also welcome!).

Since 2003 Flutes at the Barns courses in the UK have developed to cultivate a non-competitive, sociable and encouraging atmosphere with a focus on excellent, all-inclusive music-making, expert tuition, good food and good company.  Join me for Flutes at the Barns Sri Lanka for this unique experience in a beautiful location!

I look forward to welcoming you!

Kind regards,

Zoё Booth

The intimate nature of the limited course sizes allows each participant to benefit from a high level of participation and a great deal of individual contact with the course tutor within the group; each course member will also have been given prior chance to influence the course structure by indicating their preferential activities.  Participants may take the opportunity to perform solo if desired, in performances or a masterclass, however please note that any solo work in front of others is an entirely voluntary element of the course and nervous players can be assured they will find the course entirely non-challenging and supportive.
