Application and Fees

Course Information – UK courses

  • Each course is open to flute players of all standards and abilities, aged eighteen and over.
  • Each course runs from 4 pm on the Monday to 5 pm on the final day, Thursday.
  • Participants may arrive at any time from 4 pm on the first day of the course, taking a leisurely opportunity to meet other players and settle into individual accommodation.
  • Following supper at 7.30 pm there is a short musical activity on the first evening, with the main three full days of musical activities beginning the following morning
  • The course ends with an informal ‘concert’ (ending no later than 5pm).  Family and friends are welcome to attend the concert (starting at 3.30 pm) at no extra charge.
  • The course fee  - £395 GBP in 2010, £405 GBP 2011 - is fully inclusive of accommodation, meals and refreshments plus all musical activities and tuition.
  • Day participation - FATB participants each take part in a full-board residential holiday course, however in certain circumstances participants may wish to attend a course as a day participant; prospective day participants should contact the course administrator for details before submitting an application.

 

Terms and Conditions – UK courses

  • Applications for the limited places will be made on a first come, first served basis, and early application is encouraged as places are limited. 
  • Upon receipt of your application form and deposit your application will be confirmed and your name will be added to a waiting list. As soon as the course is filled, you will be informed of your acceptance to the course.*
  • Approximately ten weeks before the beginning of the course you will be sent the final details for the course.*  At this time you will be asked to complete and return a pre-course questionnaire, along with the full balance of your course fee which is due no later than eight weeks before the course begins.
  • Any applicants not accepted to the course (e.g. if no place is available) will, upon request, be put on a waiting list for cancellations, given priority to attend a later course (subject to availability) or reimbursed their full deposit/payment. 
  • If any of your contact details change between apply for and attending a course please let the course administrator know as soon as possible.
  • Fees will not be refunded in the case of cancellation by the applicant. 
  • Applicants agree to take responsibility for their own health and care of their instrument(s) for the duration of the course; Zoë Booth accepts no responsibility for damage to property, accident, injury or illness.
  • Applicants are advised to take out appropriate travel insurance for the duration of their participation in FATB.
  • Submission of an application confirms your agreement to the FATB terms and conditions.
  • Payments can be made by Paypal, cheque or bank transfer (please contact the course administrator for details).

 

* All course correspondence – following the course administrator’s receipt of an application form – will be sent by e-mail only (applicants may return any replies to the course administrator by post or e-mail).  If you would prefer to be contacted by post, please tick the box on the application form and/or contact the course administrator.
