Application and Fees

Course Information

  • Each course is open to flute players of all standards and abilities, aged eighteen and over.
  • Each course runs from 4 pm on Monday to 5 pm on Thursday.
  • Participants may arrive at any time from 4 pm on the first day of the course, taking a leisurely opportunity to meet other players and settle into individual accommodation.
  • There is a short musical activity on Monday evening, with the main three full days of musical activities beginning on Tuesday morning
  • The course ends with an informal ‘concert’ on Thursday (ending no later than 5pm).  Family and friends are welcome to attend the concert at no extra charge.
  • The course fee - £385 GBP (2009), £395 GBP (2010) - is fully inclusive of accommodation, meals and refreshments plus all musical activities and tuition.

 

Apply for Flutes at the Barns

To apply for Flutes at the Barns please download an application form and send it, with your £100 GBP deposit, to the course administrator.

  • Your £100 deposit is non-refundable upon acceptance of your application to the course.
  • The full fee is due one month before the commencement of your chosen course and with applications made after this date.
  • In the case of cancellation by the applicant refunds will not be given, under any circumstances.
  • Upon receipt of your application form and deposit your application will be confirmed and your name will be added to a waiting list. 
  • As soon as the course is filled you will be informed of your acceptance to the course. 
  • Approximately six weeks before the beginning of the course you will be sent the final details for the course.  At this time you will be asked to complete and return a pre-course questionnaire, along with the full balance of your course fee which is due no later than one month before the course begins.
  • Any participants not accepted to the course (e.g. if no place is available) will, upon request, be put on a waiting list for cancellations, given priority to attend the following course or reimbursed their full deposit/payment.
  • Completion of the application form confirms your acceptance to the terms and conditions shown above.
  • Payments can be made either by Paypal, cheque or bank transfer (contact the course administrator for details).

Day participants
FATB participants each take part in a full-board residential holiday course, however in certain circumstances participants may wish to attend a course as a day participant – prospective day participants should contact the course administrator for details before submitting an application.
