The Galadriel Ensemble

Having played together from a young age, as students in a local Youth Orchestra in St Albans, Zoë Booth and Jessica Cox reunited to form the Galadriel Ensemble in 2000 following their professional studies at The Royal Northern College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, respectively. Their repertoire includes classical and contemporary music for flute and strings (predominantly flute and cello), as well as new arrangements of many works. They are particularly focussed in their search for musical works of quality for their unusual pairing of flute and cello, which may otherwise fall from the repertoire.

Based in the Southeast the ensemble aims to entertain on all levels in order to promote chamber music and concert going. As well as the lunchtime and evening recitals they have given across the region they also have great experience playing at formal functions such as weddings and large business events; recently they were invited to entertain at the prestigious Carlton Club, St James, and at Claridges in London. The Galadriel Ensemble are also particularly focussed upon bringing music into the lives of those where it will make a considerable difference, often in an informative and educational capacity, having given Education Workshops across the country.
