The Pink Panther Theme by Mancini, arranged by Zoë Booth for four or more flutes/flute choir

£ 8.40

Henry Mancini became best known from the 1960s as a composer of film music. His most successful scores were for the films ‘Touch of Evil,’ ‘The Pink Panther’ and also ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ for which he won an Oscar for the song ‘Moon River.’

The groovy theme from the Pink Panther films and cartoons is well-known to many, and in this arrangement the close harmonies are enjoyable to play and listen to. The melody is shared between all players, although easy flute parts – and the alto and bass parts – allow players of all abilities to get involved. There is also the option to include extra techniques, such as finger-clicks and fall-offs. The extra percussion part provides rhythmic interest when performed on a triangle, snare drum or any household object !

Reviews

Review from Rebecca, adult flute player

"Along with five other flute friends I thoroughly enjoyed working on The Pink Panther on a Flute Day in Oxford.  As a familiar theme which I have always enjoyed listening to, it was great to get stuck into playing it and focusing on the syncopated rhythms.  It was rewarding to be able to produce a tight and polished performance in the time we had available."
